Abadeh is a western Iranian oasis town on the road between Isfahan and Shiraz. Abadeh carpets are mainly knotted in three pattern types: Zel-i-Soltan (bouquets), Keibathlou (Ghashgai type) or Moharamati (stripe design) in very good quality and then traded in Isfahan, Shiraz and Tehran. The pile is usually medium-high and has a good grip. The knotting is done with the Persian knot, not with the Turkish knot that is more common in Persian carpets.
