1925
Vidal was founded
Since 1925, the Swiss carpet shop Vidal has been impressing customers not only with fine antique carpets, but also with detailed and handmade modern and classic designs from the Orient. Creativity, passion, craftsmanship and quality are characteristic of the Vidal brand and guarantee that rugs from Vidal are a handmade product with a long and exciting history.
1925-1950
Vidal's advertisements, whether in the Nebelspalter or in the
Tagesanzeiger, were as special as the oriental carpets they offered.

2009
In 2009, Vidal was awarded the title of Best Oriental Carpet Shop in Europe by the renowned carpet magazine Carpet XL at the largest carpet fair for hand-knotted carpets in Hanover. Vidal earned this award in particular through its high-quality selection of classic and modern carpets in all price ranges and the high level of expertise and customer service.
Move to Talacker
2010
In 2010, the Vidal company relocated to Talacker 16 in the same building complex and gave up the shop in Bahnhofstrasse with a heavy heart.
Opening Vidal Outlet
2022
In 2022 we opened our new Vidal Outlet at Pelikanplatz 15 in Zurich. In our modern outlet we have created the unique opportunity to offer you modern and classic Vidal carpets in all colours and sizes at unbeatable prices.
The Vidal Outlet products are sold at greatly reduced prices of -30% to -70% compared to the recommended retail price.
